Stuart Barnes & his Dogs and Ducks
Stuart Barnes has travelled to over 100 countries working with wildlife, and his passion for the canine species has enabled him to gain an incredible understanding of everything about dogs. At the 2017 Scottish Land Rover Show, the Dog and Duck Show (Stuart and his team) will use trained and untrained sheep dogs to herd ducks, amusing and educating the audience about common dog behaviour issues and about how these can be resolved.
The Dog and Duck Show display is divided into 3 parts:
Part One: Dog psychology. Helping to understand why our dogs have unwanted dog problems and how to solve them.
Part Two: Natural Instincts. We use untrained dogs on the ducks to demonstrate their natural canine instincts, and show how to control them with energy and body language.
Part Three: Working the Course. Our demonstrator uses a trained dog to put the ducks through the course of tunnels, slides, Maltese Cross, pool and pen.
Scottish Land Rover Show What's On
Do you or another member of your club own a mini Land Rover replica that you could bring as part of our main arena display? Owners will be invited into the main arena to complete a small obstacle course with a view to getting as many replicas together for a group photo. We see so many driving around the site and thought it would be fantastic to get them all together for one big display.
This year our Mini me's are being invited to join me in the arena at the Scottish Land Rover Show either driving their own Land Rovers, with trailers, caravans etc. if they have them, or on foot dressed as someone or something to do with Land Rovers. They may be mechanics, adventurers, competition drivers, marshals photographers, even as Mini mes of their own parents if they are Land Rover mad as long as it is related to a life in Land Rovers! YRM – the metal solutions experts, who really know how to add that special touch to a Land Rover, will be on hand to judge the favourites with certificates and prizes in abundance - book in now:
